About Aizawl Circle

Aizawl circle is the newest circle of Archaeological Survey of India which was bifurcated from Guwahati circle in 2016. Vangchhia is the only protected site in Mizoram where 170 memoirs have been protected by the ASI in 2015. The recent discovery of a historical site at Vangchhia village in Champhai district of Mizoram has revealed the existence of an ancient lost civilization state. The remains of the civilization, discovered by Archaeological Survey of India date back 600 BCE. It looks after 1 monument of Mizoram, 1 monument of Manipur and 8 monuments of Tripura.
